Position Information:
The Coder, Outpatient performs the functions of coding of Home Health admissions/records, collection of predefined indicators and abstracting medical records. Provide timely and accurate ICD-9 CM codes for reimbursement and specific information for statistical purposes. Remain current with recognized resources, AHHC-NC, etc. Communicate on a professional level with physicians and clinical staff regarding coding and documentation issues.
Experience Requirements:
1 Year Coding - Outpatient Or Equivalent Education Requirement
Education Required:
Certificate Health Education Required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Home Care Coding Specialist - Diagnosis Required
Hours of Work:
M-F 8-430
Weekend Requirements:
No Weekends
Call Requirements:
None
